Continuing Education Credit

Continuing education credits (CEUs) are available if you are licensed in a field or profession from one of the boards and associations listed below*. If you are not sure whether your licensing organization will accept ASA CEUs please contact them for clarification.

CONTINUING EDUCATION BOARD APPROVAL LIST

Assisted Living Facilities Administrators (Residential Care Facilities Administrators)
Approval by the California Board of Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly is pending.

Care/Case Managers
The National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM) will accept proof of attendance toward continuing education requirements for re-certification of CMC (Care Manager Certified).

ASA is an approved provider through the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC). Provider # 00059517.

Certified Health Education Specialists
Approval by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc is pending.

Counselors
ASA is an approved provider for the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Provider #05438.

Drug and Alcohol Counselors
ASA is an approved provider of continuing education for the California Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselors (CAADAC). Provider #4C-98-383-0206.

Mental Health Professionals/Social Workers
ASA is an approved provider of continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CBBS). Approval #PCE-3572.

ASA is an approved provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Provider # 1068. These continuing education hours are accepted in 34 U.S. states, possessions and Canadian provinces.

ASA is an approved provider for social work continuing education by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Provider # 886341369.

Nurses
ASA is an approved provider of continuing education for the California Board of Registered Nursing (CA-BRN). Provider #CEP-2180. They will accept continuing education hours for the state of California.

ASA is an approved provider of continuing education by the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation. Provider #PA-16/Nov/06. Their continuing education hours are accepted in 48 U.S. states except California and Iowa.

Nursing Home Administrators
ASA is a Registered Sponsor of professional continuing education with the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) which has approved this program for the number of clock hours listed under their sponsor agreement with NAB/NCERS.  State licensure boards, however, have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses. Provider #01015-108-RS.  NAB is recognized in 45 states. 

Professional Guardians
Approval by the Washington State Certified Professional Guardian Program is pending.

Occupational Therapists
ASA is an approved provider of continuing education for the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Approval #3312. The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.

Recreational Therapists
Approval by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) is pending.

Social Workers

*If you require continuing education credit from a board or association not listed, please contact your state board or association for individual approval.  Participants are encouraged to verify acceptability with their board or association prior to paying for continuing education credit.

To Receive CEUs:
Fully complete and return the CEU packet available at the on-site Registration Desk.

Credit:
Half-day intensives = 3.0 hours
Full-day intensives = 6.0 hours.

Costs:
$10 per half-day intensive
(up to a maximum of $40)

TO RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

A Certificate of Attendance packet is available at the on-site Registration Desk.  Complete the forms and return to the Registration Desk.  Cost: $10 total.
