Who Is a Member? ASA and NCOA each offer membership options for individuals as well as organizations. Please read below for important information about NCOA and ASA membership and eligibility for member discounts when registering for the 2008 Aging in America Conference. ASA and NCOA individual members—with memberships that are valid through March 28, 2008—may register now at the member rate. If you are an NCOA or ASA member whose membership expires before March 28,2008, you’ll have the opportunity to renew your membership as you register to enjoy the member discount. ASA organizational memberships provide full membership benefits, including member discounts for conference registration, to three designated individuals within the member organization. These three individuals may register for the conference at the member rates. As with individual members, the organizational membership must be valid at least through March 28, 2008, or must be renewed with registration. As an additional benefit, staff of ASA member organizations who are not one of the designated individuals for the organizational membership may join ASA as Organizational Affiliate members for the specially discounted dues of only $125 per year. NCOA member organizations provide full membership benefits, including member discounts for conference registration, to two designated individuals within the member organization; ; an additional three individuals from the same organization may also register for the conference at the member rate. As with individual members, the organizational membership must be valid at least through March 28, 2008, or must be renewed with registration. Cancellation and Refund Policy (Conference Dates: March 27-30, 2008) Early Cancellation (by Feb. 14, 2008): You may cancel your registration no later than February 14, 2008 and receive a refund of your total conference registration fee, including any optional event and CEU fees, minus a $65 administrative fee. You must send a written cancellation and refund request to ASA by mail, fax, or e-mail prior to February 14, 2008 to receive this refund. Late Cancellation (by Feb. 29, 2008): You may cancel your registration no later than February 29, 2008 and receive a 50% refund of your total conference registration fee, including any optional event and CEU fees. You must send a written cancellation and refund request to ASA by mail, fax or e-mail prior to February 29, 2008. No refund request will be accepted or honored after February 29, 2008, regardless of the reason for the cancellation (including medical and other emergencies). Registrations may be transferred in full to another individual you designate to attend the conference in your place if you are unable to attend and are unable to cancel your registration prior to either of the cancellation deadline dates. Refunds will be issued within 45 business days after the Joint Conference concludes.
