What is ASA?
Founded in 1954, the American Society on Aging (ASA) is a professional association dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and leadership skills of its multidisciplinary membership. ASA’s mission is to prepare members to address the challenges and opportunities of a diverse aging society with a focus on our social impact: all older adults have improved quality of life and racial and other disparities are reduced. With a major commitment to diversity and inclusion, ASA’s members represent the diverse array of professionals in the field of aging working along the continuum of care and service and who are concerned with the physical, emotional, social, economic and spiritual well-being of older adults.
